But many retirees still play and enjoy the game of tennis. It is a game that can be played easily with friends and friends of all ages and all fitness levels!
☑️ Tennis is a generational sport: Some things run in the family, and sports is certainly one of them. Tennis is one of those generational sports. At the clubs, you’ll find a number of families that have several generations of tennis players. By playing together as a family, your children will also take an interest in what you love, and perhaps they’ll continue to pass it on one day.
☑️ It boosts Brain Power:Think of tennis as a zero calorie brain food! Playing tennis can improve critical thinking, mental alertness, and tactical thinking by making connections in the brain. Tennis also helps regulate serotonin—a brain chemical linked to functions such as sleep cycle, appetite, and your emotional state. Having trouble sleeping or keeping your emotions in check? Hit the court!
☑️ It improves Agility, Flexibility and Balance: Have you ever watched tennis on TV and the players are constantly stretching and reaching to keep a ball in play? Tennis is a sport where you are constantly moving, changing direction and stretching your body. By playing tennis on a regular basis, you will also notice an improvement in agility and flexibility.
☑️ It helps with weight Loss: Tennis is a great cardio workout, especially if you’re playing singles. You’re constantly running, pivoting, stretching, and moving every inch of your body. According to the American Dietetic Association, recreational players can burn an estimated 600 to 1,320 calories per two-hour singles sessions while competitive players can burn between 768 to 1,728 calories. Note: To lose 1 pound of fat you must burn 3,500 calories

The 10is Academy you know and love comes without judgement on how good or bad you are, we are not driven by public likes or looking over our shoulder to see what others do - 10is Academy is a space that is free of judgment - to experiment, to explore, to reflect, to be bold, to dare, to be you.
Our tennis club and our tennis lessons are a place for self-expression but also a community where everyone should feel safe. Our community is based on respect and understanding, while also celebrating the different cultures, perspectives and value that make us human.
And most of all our club is all about growth; which comes every time you challenge yourself.
